Dental Prosthetics
What is the dental implant process?
It is the installation of artificial teeth that we perform to replace those that the patient lost, or to restore broken teeth and treat their roots. The installation of artificial teeth has two types: fixed and removable, and the patient’s condition is what determines the type that will be used.Who are the people qualified to try dental implants?
A patient who enjoys good general health.Patients who have healthy gums and adequate bones.Patient who does not suffer from diabetes and heart disease.Tips for fixed installations:
- Avoid chewing hard foods, such as: ice cubes, pistachio shells, and hazelnuts.
- Do not open canned food, as it may cause damage to the bridge or the teeth attached to the bridge.
- Maintaining clean teeth, by using a toothbrush and toothpaste at least twice a day, to keep the teeth and gums that secure the bridge healthy.
- The necessity of making periodic visits to the dentist, in order to help in the early detection of gingivitis or tooth decay, in addition to the necessity of seeing your dentist when you notice any pain or defect in your teeth.
Tips for moving installations:
- Use a special brush and paste to clean the fittings, and every week the fitting must be soaked for seven or eight hours in a medical solution.
- Clean the fixture, making sure to do so over a sink filled with water. If it falls from your hand and falls into the water, it will not break.
- Put the dental implant in a cup of water to protect it from dryness, which can lead to infections, before going to sleep.
- Clean the gums and the roof of the throat with a soft brush until blood circulation in the mouth improves. The more we pay attention to the cleanliness of the formula and the mouth, the more stability it will have and the fewer gum infections.
